Coaching Certification Levels and Requirements

|
- All registered team officials 16 years of age or older must attain their Hockey Canada Speak Out (Harassment and Abuse) Program certification by February 1st of the current season.
- At least one team official listed as a Coach on all minor teams from Novice to Midget must have attended a SHA Body Checking Workshop by February 1st of the current season. Exceptions to this rule are the Non-Contact and Female Programs.
- Each team must have one (1) team official listed as either Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager, Trainer, or Stick Person attain their Hockey Canada Safety Program certification.
- All on-ice "helpers" must be registered on the team certification form.

- Intro to Coach certification must be attained if coaching kids six (6) years and under.
- Coach Stream certification will be accepted for the Novice age division.
- Coaches must have Development I certification prior to taking Development II.
